Statement sentence
  • Statement sentence is a sentence that ends with a period.
  •  It declares or states something.
  • Example: I finished my work.
Command Sentence
  • Command Sentence is a sentence that begins with a verb and ends with an object, a person or a thing.
  • It gives advice or instructions or expresses a request.
  • In this type of sentence, subject is always ‘you’ but it is not clearly stated.
Command Statement tells
  • someone to do something
Example: Clean the floor. (The subject is "you.")
  • someone not to do something
Example: Don't make noise. (The subject is "you.")

Note:
  • The polite form of a command sentence uses the word "please."
  • Example: Please give that book to me.
