GRANDMOTHER

Grandmother is the mother of one’s father or mother.Examples:
  1. My grandmother is from India.
  2. How old is your grandmother?
  3. I love my both grandmothers.
Note :

We can also see or use some informal names in the family. “Grandma” and “Granny” are informally used instead of “Grandmother”.

Examples:
  1. My mother visited my grandma last week.
  2. I love you, Granny.

MOTHER

Mother is a female parent.

Examples:
  1. All mothers are special.
  2. My mother is 65 years old.
  3. My mother lives in Mumbai.

DAUGHTER

Daughter is one’s female child.

Examples:
  1. My daughter‘s name is Siya.
  2. I have a daughter and a son.
  3. Her daughter is good at math.

WIFE

Wife is the woman that you are married to.

Examples:
  1. We will meet his wife for the first time.
  2. She is a good player of badminton.
  3. I love my wife a lot.

SISTER

Sister is a girl or woman who has same parents as another person.

Examples:
  1.  Siya and Lyra are sisters.
  2. She is my big sister.
  3. I want to have a sister.

MOTHER-IN-LAW

Mother-in-law is the mother of one’s husband or wife.

Examples:
  1. My mother-in-law helped me a lot.
  2. We live with my mother-in-law.
  3. Her mother-in-law is very energetic.
Note :

We can also see or use some informal names in the family. “Mom” and “Mommy ( child word for mother )” are informally used instead of “Mother”.

Examples:
  1. I want to be a mom.
  2. Mommy, can I eat chocolate?

STEPMOTHER

Stepmother is the woman who is married to one’s father but who is not their real mother.

Examples:
  1. My stepmother is always angry.
  2. I never wanted my father to marry with my stepmother.
  3. Her stepmother is very young.

STEPSISTER

Stepsister is a girl or woman who is not your parents’ daughter, but the daughter of a person one of your parents has married.

Examples:
  1. You are confusing me with my stepsister.
  2. Her stepsister is very kind.
  3. Seema has two stepsisters.

SISTER-IN-LAW

Sister-in-law is the wife of your brother, or the sister of your husband or wife, or the wife of the brother or sister of your husband or wife.

Examples:
  1. My son has many sisters-in-law.
  2. Sister-in-law is also one of the family members.
  3. My mother and sister-in-love are in the kitchen.

DAUGHTER-IN-LAW

Daughter-in-law is the woman who is married to your son or daughter.

Examples:
  1. My daughter-in-law is very clever.
  2. I went to shopping with my daughter-in-law.
  3. My aunt is living in the home of her daughter-in-law who is kind to her.

NIECE

Niece is a daughter of your brother or sister, or a daughter of your husband’s or wife’s brother or sister.
Examples:
  1. My niece is showing me all her books.
  2. I bought my niece some toys.
  3. Her niece is very beautiful.

AUNT

Aunt is the sister of one’s father or mother, or the wife of one’s uncle.

Examples:
  1. I stay with my aunt when my parents are away.
  2. My aunt lives in America.
  3. We will visit my aunt and uncle at the weekend.

COUSIN

Cousin is a child of one’s aunt or uncle.

Examples:
  1. My cousins are very close in age.
  2. I flew to America for my cousin‘s wedding.
  3. Kiran and Hemlata are cousins.
