What is the difference between Whole numbers and Natural numbers ?
Natural Numbers
- Natural numbers are the set of all positive integers from 1 to ∞ excluding the fractional part and the decimal part.
N = { 1,2,3….∞ }.
- Natural numbers are also known as Counting Numbers.
Whole Numbers
- Whole numbers are all Natural numbers including the number ' 0 '.
W = { 0,1,2,3….∞ }.
Zero is the only Whole number which is not a Natural number.
